Editor's Note

Hey Valley fam,

February is officially in motion, and the 956 is showing out. This weekend blends everything we love: culture, creativity, community, and just enough chaos to keep things fun. You’ve got symphonies playing Star Wars scores, love-themed markets popping up everywhere, and Black History Month celebrations reminding us why our stories matter.

What stands out most? The people. From educators breaking barriers to pitmasters putting the RGV on the national food map, this place keeps proving that greatness doesn’t need permission — it just needs heart.

Grab your crew, bring the kids, take the dog, and don’t overthink it. The Valley already did the planning for you. 💛

Quick Poll

You’ve got friends visiting the RGV for the first time. Where do you take them first?
